Bird watching in the Danube Delta - experience for groups

Discover the amazing world of birds in the Danube Delta in one day with your friends, family or colleagues! 

An experienced guide is waiting for you, who will show you as much of the rich fauna of the Danube Delta as possible, on the best available routes, depending on the season.

The boat trip covers an important part of the Danube Delta, and the route includes other interesting things such as marshes, salt pans, salt sand islands, forest areas, lakes and special areas of the Delta with feeding or nesting places for many bird species. 

The trip involves bird watching, so the boat will go at a fairly slow pace towards the special places where birds are seen. The guide is a professional birdwatcher and knows very well where the rare species of birds are and how to approach the birds by boat to see them without disturbing them.

The tour usually starts from Tulcea and ends in the village of Mila23. Here you can make a stop to try the local food for lunch. 

All the time, the guide will try to teach you something about the places you are travelling through, the birds and the Danube.

• Departure from Port Aval - Tulcea 
• Location: Tulcea - Mile 23
• Time: anytime from sunrise to sunset. It is recommended, however, that the experience starts at sunrise. The time is set when the experience is scheduled
• It is important to arrive at the meeting point 15 minutes before the scheduled time
• Duration: 8 - 10 hours
• Experience period: April - October
• Level of difficulty: easy
• Experience includes English speaking guide, bottled water, open boat and fuel, fees for visiting the Danube Delta
• Experience does not include lunch, other drinks, transport to the meeting point, any kind of insurance, life jacket for each person in the group, life jackets (mandatory to be worn during the whole boat trip)
• Recommended personal equipment: binoculars, long trousers and long-sleeved shirts to protect you from the sun, sun hat (not cap), sunglasses, jacket, raincoat, hiking shoes. Please take these recommendations very seriously, as the weather in the Danube Delta can be very capricious
• Experience for a group of 10 people
