One day boat trip on the route Tulcea - Mila 23 - Letea - Sulina

In order to enjoy as many corners of nature and wonderful landscapes as possible, we recommend a day trip to the Danube Delta. Take a 9-10 hour trip with plenty of attractions!

Departure is from the port of Tulcea, which is less than 5 minutes away on the Danube. Then you enter by boat on Channel 36 "the gates of the Danube Delta in the Tulcea area". The channel is about 10 m wide and rich in flora.  Here you can also see some of the fauna: small and large egrets, cormorants and grey herons.

After observing the fauna you will enter the Sontea Veche canal. You will reach the platform area, where there is a fishermen's hut. The trail continues to Lake Nebunu, Lake Baclanesti and Lake Fortuna - lakes with a large surface and often on these lakes you can observe pelicans, swans and other bird species. Next we explore the Vacaru canal, where there is an area rich in white and yellow water lilies, but also an area with a lot of reeds and reeds. 

The route continues to the village of Mila 23, the first stop will be about 30 min and where you can visit the locality full of tradition, the houses of the Russian Lipovenes with a special architecture. The tour continues on the Heracles canal where you will visit the Radacinos Lake, the Three Jizzere Lake, the Miaza Zi Lake, the Matita Lake and the Merhei Lake, after which the tour continues on the Sidor canal, a special canal. The fine sand on the left and right bank will take you to exotic beaches. 

A stop will be made in Letea. You can choose to have a traditional fisherman's lunch, served in the houses of the locals, authorized as gastronomic points, or you can choose to visit the Letea forest, a forest where you can see centuries-old oaks, sand dunes, creepers and, with a bit of luck, you can also see wild horses. 

After the stop, the trip continues on the Barbosu canal, a canal with many water lilies. Then you will see Musura Bay, where you can already feel the sea breeze and visit, without getting off the boat, the island of K, called by the locals the island of birds. 

Then you reach the wreck of Turgut S. Here the Danube embraces the sea (the Danube spill into the Black Sea). With a bit of luck you can also see dolphins here. The trip continues on the Sulina arm, where you will see the new lighthouse and the old lighthouse. Arriving at the beach area, there will be a 1h 30 min stop, where you can enjoy a swim in the sea, Sulina Beach is known for its fine sand. You also have the option to visit the port of Sulina and the tourist attractions in the area. The return is on the Sulina arm.
