Recycle and have fun - workshop for children between 6-12 years old

Environmental awareness is extremely important for future generations. In order to cultivate an interest in protecting the environment, our partners have created a workshop where children will discover how they can transform things and materials that are no longer of use to us into new objects, exercising their creativity and skills.

Recycling and creation - two elements that combine naturally in this transformation process, in which we put emotion, pleasure and play. Art develops our thinking, relaxes us and brings us closer to those around us.

Whether they are creating new decorations for the home or gifts for loved ones, at this workshop the little ones will also learn essential information about the environment and how they can do their bit to protect it. Through fun, play and creativity children will learn to be more confident in their own communication skills, to control and accept their emotions, to accomplish tasks, to be critical and to think freely.

About the teacher:

Anca Cristea is a double major in teaching - graduate engineer in physics. She is currently working in the field of organizational management. She is a graduate of the Faculty of Physics of the University of Bucharest, following also the courses of the psycho-pedagogical module.

She has always liked exact sciences, children and art in all its forms, so in life she has tried to combine all these passions. She has more than 15 years of experience in preparing children for competitions and national assessments. She is a self-taught craftswoman and because art relaxes and unwinds her, in her spare time she enjoys making handmade products in her small workshop with her 11 year old daughter.

Details of the experience: 

• The workshop takes place online, on the Zoom platform and includes 1 session lasting 60 minutes
• The workshop is done in groups of 2-6 children
• Experience for a child between 6 and 12 years old
• Workshops run frequently throughout the year
• The necessary materials will be sent at least 24h before the session
