Starting point

Choose one of Tenerife's ports in the south of the island, such as Las Galletas or Los Abrigos, where you will embark on Saturday afternoon and disembark the following Saturday morning. The airport where you will have to land is Tenerife South.

How to get there?

Surprisingly, Tenerife is well connected to Romania, with direct flights from Bucharest, with "only" 6 hours of continuous flight.

Route

After spending Saturday evening in the port of Tenerife, you'll set off the next morning for the island of La Gomera, a little-known diamond, a sort of paradise of vegetation, a crossroads of the worlds. You'll sail the Atlantic Ocean, anchor overnight outside the harbours and stop for lunch at Ancora in the Gulf. From La Gomera, depending on your crew and the type of tour you choose, you'll sail further on a daring crossing to El Hiero or stop off around the island. You will then turn north to Tenerife and head south along the coast to the port where you will disembark.

• The route proposed here is more a of a masterplan rather than a promise. A lot will depend on the wind for sailing, so the schedule will be flexible. In other words, destinations and arrival times will be adapted to make the best use of wind direction. Each evening, the skipper will make the sail plan for the next day.
