We suggest you refresh yourself with a super cool experience in Greece and forget that summer is over. 7 days of sailing and discovering amazing places are waiting for you. Start point
Our starting point is strategically placed at 4 hours sailing away from Kalymnos - the "Mecca of climbers". We are talking about about Kos Marina, situated just in the city of Kos.
In the Marina you will have all the facilities a modern sailor needs. From trendy pubs to ATMs, supermarket and laundry washing, you have them all in one place! And, of course, the marina is situated at walking distance from the vibrant city of Kos. Definitely worth visiting!
How to get there
Many European destinations are connected directly to Kos international airport, to mention just a few would be Amsterdam, Berlin or Rome. The good news is that the summer (June to October) many low cost company operate direct routes.
The airport is not near the city of Kos but rather 40 km away. If you are lucky enough you can catch one of the few buses that run daily to the center of Kos city, and then walk for 15 min. But more convenient would be a taxi that can drop you to the marina. And of course, for compact groups we can arrange a minivan pick-up for you
The route
Day 1 Saturday: Check in by 17.00 Dinner in Kos marina.
Day 2 Sunday: Breakfast, shopping in the morning, we set sails around noon, heading towards the island of Telendos.
Day 3 Monday: A short sailing (about 2 hrs) to the island of Kalymnos. If the wind strength and direction are good we can anchor in Arginonta, one of the famous climbing areas in Kalymnos. We anchor and go ashore by dinghy (or swimming, if one prefers). I would have a night’s beer at the little restaurant near the pebble beach.
Day 4 Tuesday: By popular demand we can take a short sail in the evening, practice MOB (man overboard) maneuver, learn some sailing, and return to anchor in Arginonta bay.
Day 5 Wednesday: By noon we sail 2-3 hours to Vathis and dock here. Vathis is one of our favorite places on Kalymnos, with magnificent limestone raising directly from the water, with caves where the bravest can try deep water solo.
Day 6 Thursday: We sail back to Kalymnos to Sykati Cave (3 hours of sailing). We can take the boat out and learn some sailing in the evening. Party and relax on the sand beach in Sykati area.
Day 7 Friday: From Sykati we sail back to Kos, not without stopping for a lunch at anchor on the island of Pserimos. 4-5 hours of sailing, depending on wind strength and direction. Accommodation on the boat in Kos Marina.

- The route proposed here is more a of a masterplan rather than a promise. A lot will depend on the wind for sailing, so the schedule will be flexible. In other words, destinations and arrival times will be adapted to make the best use of wind direction. Each evening, the skipper will make the sail plan for the next day.
