Do you have a keyboard or a piano at home and you wish you could play, but you don't know where to start? Or does your child ask you for piano lessons, but you don't have time to take him to another activity? Now, piano school comes right to your home!
Don't hesitate to fulfill your dream of becoming a talented pianist and start piano lessons at home with one of the teachers of a renowned piano school in Bucharest. Together, you will form an impeccable team to make the most of your musical talent.
Regardless of your age, you will learn how to map the piano with ease, the basic formulas used in modern musical genres and how to read and locate the chords on the piano of any piece you wish to play. You will experience what it is like to improvise on the learned formulas and how to listen and play back the correct rhythm; and depending on the number of lessons chosen, you will even be able to draw out a simple score. At the end of the course, you will leave with exercises to improve hand coordination and tips on how to study more efficiently.
Lena Napradean, the founder of the piano school, is a professional pianist with extensive experience in teaching piano lessons, and lessons at your home with one of the teachers of this school can be extremely beneficial for the development of your piano skills. Your teacher will provide you with a complete training, including performance techniques, music theory, music reading and repertoire adapted to your level of experience.
Through piano lessons at your home you will benefit from personalised attention and make rapid progress in developing your musical skills. Your teacher will adapt his or her teaching method to your needs and preferences so that you feel comfortable and motivated in the learning process.
Lena Napradean is the founder and director of her own piano school. Born in Bucharest, she gave her first concert at the age of 5. A year later, she won her first international competition. She has given concerts in Romania as well as in countries such as Great Britain, France, Germany, Italy and Greece. During her career, Lena has won over 20 national and international awards for her performances. These include the Grand Prize at Valsesia Musica Juniores, Italy and the First Prize at the Konzerteum International Competition, Greece.
After attending the George Enescu National College of Music, Bucharest, Lena obtained scholarships to study at two of the most prestigious conservatories in the world. In 2016, she graduated from the Royal Academy of Music with a BMus(Hons) degree. Two years later, she received her MMus (Master of Music) degree from the Royal College of Music. This was followed by teaching courses: the LRAM Diploma in Piano Pedagogy from the Royal Academy of Music in 2019 and the iPGCE Certificate in Education from the University of Sheffield in 2020.
Her teaching experience of almost 10 years is a testament to the teaching philosophy approached by Lena and her team of teachers. She has worked with both children and adults in London and Bucharest, supporting them in recitals, exams and competitions. Throughout these years, she has organised and run collaborative workshops in partnership with the Royal College of Music, London and currently heads the Primary Music Department at the International School of Bucharest.
The method implemented by Lena is based on the theory of simultaneous learning of the famous British music pedagogue Paul Harris. It refers to the musician's ability to develop many skills simultaneously - technique, abstraction (theory), audition, note reading, improvisation etc.
Therefore, students learn to sing both by imitating what they hear and see, and by reading sheet music, so that they develop their ability to process information both visually and aurally. They develop their technique, their understanding of music theory, learn to improvise and even analyse the music they listen to. The materials used bring together the best methods from around the world, they come from the UK, USA and Australia and the teachers are trained to provide a balanced learning experience for each student, developing each student's uniqueness on a strong foundation of skills.
